English as a Second Language (ESL)

SKILLS-ESL is a bridge to academic success, future goals and opportunities, and cultural exploration. The program offers at least 20 hours of English in the classroom and as well as social, cultural, practical activities to help students use language, explore culture, and build friendships.

Accredited by TESDA and the Bureau of Immigration, the school caters to non-native English speakers from other countries and to Filipinos aiming to have better mastery of the language. SKILLS-ESL offers the following courses:

General English

General English aims to develop and improve practical communication skills in speaking and writing as well as reading and listening.  It also builds on fluency and grammatical accuracy. The course is suitable for all class levels from beginner to advanced.

Specialized English

Specialized English lessons are for professionals and students who wish to focus on learning English in the context of their career. The most common types of specialization are Business English , English for Careers and Exam English (TOEIC, IELTS, TOEFL, and Cambridge Exams).

Holiday English

Holiday English is designed for students between the ages of 10 to 16 who want to improve their English language skills while on holiday or vacation.  Students get to experience fun and engaging activities such as role plays, oral presentations, vocabulary drills, grammar games, and field trips.

English Plus

English Plus is a combination of General English lessons and a choice of three activities per week.  Students will have the opportunity to visit places, meet people, explore other culture, and serve the underprivileged. Activities include community outreach, adventure, volunteer work and cultural immersion.

Qualifications and Requirements

SKILLS English as a Second Language Program


  • 10 to 60 years old, of any gender
  • Non-native English speakers with minimal knowledge of the English language
  • Must be mentally and physically fit.


For foreigners:

  1. Duly accomplished enrollment form
  2. Passport
  3. SSP (Special Study Permit)
  4. Medical insurance
  5. Payment of Registration fee
  6. Payment of Tuition fee
  7. 4 pcs. recent passport size photos with white background
  8. Birth certificate
  9. Affidavit of consent by parent (for minors)
  10. Affidavit of support and proof of financial capacity
  11. Diagnostic/placement test result

For Filipino applicants:

  1. Duly accomplished enrollment form
  2. Copy of birth certificate
  3. Copy of high school/college diploma
  4. Copy of a government issued ID
  5. 4 pcs. recent passport size photos with white background
  6. Payment of Registration fee
  7. Payment of Tuition fee
  8. Diagnostic/placement test result
