The Primary Structures Educational Foundation Inc. (PSEFI) works with the Habitat for Humanity Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter (TCIS).
Since 1976, Habitat for Humanity has helped more than 6.8 million people worldwide improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity established TCIS to serve more families by working within housing market systems. TCIS helps local firms make their innovative housing products accessible so that low-income families are able to build safe, disaster-resilient homes.
PSEFI joined the Build Fairs co-organized by TCIS and TESDA. In the Build Fairs so far done in Cebu City and Bogo City, PSEFI exhibited the training and employment opportunities PGB provides. PGB handy women also demonstrated modern construction techniques and technologies. These activities create awareness about construction profession and to encourage home-owners become more proactive in building safer homes.
To broaden the youth’s knowledge about construction profession, PSEFI and TCIS are currently working on construction education materials using the digital platform.
